@hhardy01 @bazkie @Mastodon Just as an information: Mastodon.social is operated under German law. In German law, Mastodon instances are not “common carriers” in any legal sense. They benefit from limited liability, but must act when notified of illegal content. They do not gain perpetual rights to user content unless explicitly agreed. If Mastodon.social were to act like a publisher (e.g., curating or modifying posts), their liability could increase.

Holy crap! Even the Verge does not like Liquid Glass. I think Apple will have to tone it down A LOT between now and September then.

They were unhinged when they said they created the Vision Pro (which no one bought), and then carried its UI to all other platforms. A UI for a product that no one bought. 😬

Their words — not mine.

Ask your favorite LLM to give you a random number between 1 and 25. It will always give you back 17.

@noflcl Ah, thanks for your suggestion! I'll take a look.

@zeroase @kasts Thanks for your answer! I've been using Kasts, but unfortunately, it's been super buggy lately. I often have to restart my whole computer just to get it to play my episodes again, and of course, it always loses track of where I was. 😐

Does anyone know of a good podcast app for Kubuntu that is *not* unmaintained, buggy, difficult/annoying to use, or command-line only? I'm really frustrated right now because I can't find anything.

How do you listen to your podcasts? I appreciate your suggestions! :D

Here’s a quick script you can use to update all locally downloaded language models (whether from Hugging Face or your own) with Ollama:

```bash
#!/bin/bash
ollama list | tail -n +2 | awk '{print $1}' | while read -r model; do
ollama pull $model
done
```

This grabs the list of models and pulls the latest version for each.

#ollama #llm

A screenshot of a bash script that updates all ollama models:

#!/bin/bash

ollama list | tail -n +2 | awk '{print $1}' | while read -r model; do
  ollama pull $model
done

Pythagoras: a² + b² = c²
Therefore: E = m × (a² + b²)

Here’s Google search interest for “remove president” from 2020 to 2025.

A matplotlib plot titled "Google Search Interest Over Time: 'Remove President' (US)" shows the relative search interest for the phrase "Remove President" in the United States from July 2020 to May 2025. The y-axis represents search interest, while the x-axis spans from July 2020 to May 2025. The graph features a colored area under the curve: red shading highlights periods around significant political events, while blue shading covers the rest.

Key political events are marked with vertical dashed lines and labels, including:
- 2020 Election (Nov 2020)
- Capitol Riot (Jan 2021)
- Biden Inauguration (Jan 2021)
- Afghanistan Withdrawal (Aug 2021)
- Jan 6 Committee Report (Dec 2022)
- Trump Assassination Attempt (Jul 2024)
- 2024 Election (Nov 2024)
- Trump 2nd Inauguration (Jan 2025)
- "Liberation Day" Tariffs (Mar 2025)

Notable spikes in search interest occur around the 2020 Election, Capitol Riot, Biden Inauguration, and again after the 2024 Election and Trump’s 2nd Inauguration. The graph visually links peaks in search activity to these political milestones, suggesting increased public concern or controversy during these times.

@keineantwort Danke :)

@catsalad Toilet paper. Optimised for ✨AI✨

A grocery store shelf displays multiple rolls of toilet paper in plastic-wrapped packs. One pack in the center has a large, bold label that reads “TOILET PAPER” with a yellow sticker below stating “Optimised for AI.” The background shelves are stocked with various cleaning products in brightly colored bottles. The scene is humorous, suggesting a parody of tech marketing language applied to an everyday item.
