This Python snippet shows how to draw a chessboard using NumPy and Matplotlib. The code creates an 8x8 matrix with alternating 0 and 1 values to represent black and white squares, then visualizes it using imshow. It demonstrates how simple array operations can generate patterns and how Matplotlib can convert data into visual output, which is useful for data visualization, simulations, and computer vision experiments.

did you know that the #DWD has public access to all the #Wetter data?

I was able to pull a dataset from my local weather station and generate a simple 3d plot wit #pandas #numpy and #matplotlib to show the number of days in a year for a given temperature bin.
This is really helpful to find the sweet spot for a new #warmepumpe installation
I'm doing a review of basic #algebra, and was looking for something in #python #matplotlib to plot intervals on the number line. Didn't find anything, so I wrote this.

Left to do is dynamically adding the tick labels to the chart.
I know it is possible but my brain refuses yo make it work. A tomorrow’s problem.
Anyhow, here it is:

Ternary plots make my brain hurt.
Only 6 left to do of the 100.

New #py5 release! One last release before the end of the year.
This release adds to py5's integrations with #trimesh and #matplotlib. The ideas behind these improvements came from #pythonbrasil last October. Thank you for everyone who attended the tutorial @villares and I taught!
In addition, there are some small bug fixes and other small improvements in this release.
Read the blog post to learn more:
I created an actual "release" today, for my Xiaolong Dictionary language learning tool [1].
I wonder however, why the GNU/Linux built is bigger. Maybe 'cause I ran another command making the executable. Makefile target:
pyinstaller --clean --onefile --noconsole --add-data "$(TCL_LIBRARY):tcl8.6" --add-data "$(TK_LIBRARY):tk8.6" "$(MODULE)")
While on Windows I have no idea how to do that.

After a lot of trying things, I got some statistics into my language learning tool [1].
The configuration file allows one to specify other searches to visualize other subsets of words.

Totally normal #Python upstream attitude:
1. Ignore a reply on a bug report for 3+ years.
2. Install a #StaleBot in the middle of the night.
3. 7 minutes after the bug is marked stale, claim that you "never heard back on this" and that "the issue was somewhere downstream", without even checking another linked issue.
