Accessibility is not a gift or a favor for people with disabilities.
It's a right that is long due and taken for granted by governments, corporates and other civic bodies.

I like flying kites, curling, cats, swimming and cross country skiing. I'm also looking to practice my French with anyone, I'm about a B1 in written French.

A men's #curling team from #Solleftea #Sweden came to play in the #Saskatchewan Curling Tour in #moosejaw this weekend! Won some money too!
Agree. As I understand it in most cases the Minister may fire them but their position is created & empowered by legislation, while having the authourity & affirmative duty to issue whatever health directives they deem appropriate. But , arms length with some immunity seems the least required, based on recent experience/interference /failures
@PBruce @DiverDoc My opinion is that Canada has an immature relationship with their provincial medical officers, and the positions had never been tested before now. The positions are by Ministerial appointment in some cases. I'd like to see Medical Officers be independent and report to the legislature, not a Minister.
@GrimmReality Rwanda has very similar laws. They recognize that the precursors of genocide must be responded to. Only places that have actively sought to reconcile with their genocidal past have such laws.
"Alberta pediatricians are calling [for] temporary school mask mandates. [Premier Smith] recently banned school boards from bringing in their own masking rules. But the CMOH can issue public health orders that would take precedence." https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/alberta-renewed-calls-for-masking-1.6679077 #cdnpoli #ableg #yyc #yeg
@craigsilliphant I follow a few from #saskatchewan in here, yes. No one from #saskatoon yet
Anyone from #saskatoon or #saskatchewan here?
@annecavicchi That's just their regular warm up stretches.
A typical school has 4 times as many occupants as does office buildings for the same floor space. A school may be a higher risk for airborne pathogens than a hospital. Each school should have site specific mandated Indoor Air quality (IAQ) inspections yearly

The people in the neighborhood wanted a bridge over the creek. The city had no funding for #PedestrianInfrastructure for something like that. But they did get an #art grant, so they hired an artist to create an art installation that would span the creek that people could walk on. I frequently walk my dogs along this creek and yes, over the bridge sometimes.

Driving promises freedom.
"Some commuters trapped for 8 hours as snow wreaks havoc.. Frustrated commuters were trapped in cars and buses for hours on end Tuesday night as snowy conditions wreaked havoc on highways and bridges across B.C.'s Lower Mainland.
A series of crashes snarled traffic throughout the region, closing the Alex Fraser Bridge in both directions and causing major delays on the Lions Gate Bridge & around the George Massey Tunnel.

The top 3 things you can do to avoid Covid IMHO as an ER doc who has avoided it so far🤞🏻:
1. Masking
2. No indoor public dining/gatherings
3. Gather in small groups only with other people who actually care and are also taking active measures not to get Covid.
I am very excited to finally share that the World Wheelchair #Curling Championship will be taking place in March of 2023 at my club! I curl in a league with three of the curlers in the article! #saskatchewan #moosejaw
The degree to which #VitaminD cult ignores the body of evidence – including RCTs that show not effective with COVID – demonstrates agenda & scientific illiteracy.
Remain open minded. #VitD might be helpful. If so, doesn't replace vaccines. Not magical. And NO anti-D conspiracy!
