I tend to post things about #antiCapitalism, #antiColonialism, #antiRacism, #antiSexism, #LGBTQ and so forth. Lefty leftist spreading leftism.
As a proletariat, I am also interested in the development of our human world through #science and #technology. And the development of the human spirit through #humanism and #religion.

@demi7en @BubblegumYeti After reading the first paragraph, I expected you to call out Israel or even the USA's treatment of indigenous people. But, no. Instead we get baseless claims about China. π
If you don't understand the difference between socialism and fascism (the most opposite ideologies in existence), you shouldn't be saying anything about either. And it's a dead giveaway that you're not the type to check sources or apply a critical mind to any situation.
We believe in magic or aliens before we believe that labor is the only source of new value in society.

Not long ago, our species was not on the top. There were lions and other courageous predators that stood above us. We were still scared monkies always thinking somebody was behind us going to eat us.
Through the miracle of language and cooperation, we rose to the top far faster than we should have. Instead of being courageous dominatrs, we are scared dominators. And that fear is what makes us the most dangerous species to ever have existed.
The working class in America don't wage war on those who exploit them every day because they foolishly all think their big windfall is coming up, just around the corner. So they hold out and work hard until they die. Generation after generation.
@TechNews Smells like anti-China propaganda. Saying that because ONE region has an issue, ALL of China does (and not even detailing what the connection even is) is ridiculous and sloppy journalism, at best. Furthermore, the point of academic research isn't always industrial application. In fact, rarely is it. This metric itself is flawed.
Should we get into the $trillions the US military spends on research that goes nowhere? hmmmm
@nazokiyoubinbou Damn. Sorry.
People still need to be careful about WFH jobs though. Lots of them force you to install spyware to keep tabs on keystrokes or tap into your camera or something so they know you're working. Which is ridiculous and actually makes people less productive. But this is capitalism, so.
@LadyDragonfly In capitalist USA, product sell YOU!
It's not so much that people don't want to work anymore, it's that people don't want to work under harsh conditions anymore. Workers are being less masochistic. That's a good thing.
Poor countries are not under-developed, they are over-exploited.
@lycophidion Biden (or whoever is President) will declare a nation emergency when the economy and the markets dictate it is. They haven't done that yet, so there isn't any rush for things.
@lycophidion The job of the POTUS is to protect capital. The ravaging of the environment is what makes capitalism function in the first place. I seriously don't understand why anybody thinks a capitalist government would ever care about the destruction of this planet. They never have before. Why start now?
Average salary for the working class in US is currently less m than at the worst part part of the Great Depression when adjusted for inflation.
@radeksikorski @EPPGroup Taiwan is already a part of China. That is their constitution and law. And they aren't "arming" Russia.
Let's stick to reality, please.
@wallacemick Yeah. It's very arrogant of NATO to claim their way is the way of everybody, when it's clearly never been the case.
But I get it. Those politicians wouldn't even be in those positions if they weren't toting the line and ignoring all atrocities NATO commits along the way.
Socialism is a scare word they've hurled at every advance the people have made. Socialism is what they called public power, social security, deposit insurance, and independent labor organizations. Socialism is their name for anything that helps all people.
βHarry Truman, 1952
Social bonds are great. But each one of us must understand ourselves as individuals as well. Neither the individual nor the collective should dominate but both should push and pull on each other until each is refined.

@JKLund Socialist economics, however, don't require taxation at all because the workers decide what to do with the product of their own labor. Society isn't divided between private property and everybody else so there's no reason to mediate the needs of each via taxation. Eliminate private property, eliminate taxation.
In practice, socialist states are still emerging from capitalism or feudalism and so taxation plays a stronger role, so taxes are used as a means to keep accumulation in check.
@JKLund The socialist take is somewhat different. Yes, we think it's wild that those who do no labor enjoy the fruits of others' labor at their expense. But there are so many other, more serious, structural issues with capitalism that even if it could be tamed in a way to be fair (history suggests this isn't possible), it's still not worth saving.
Socialists are in favor of wealth taxes *within capitalism* because it weakens the bourgeoisie, whom we wish to drive out of society.
