Wired magazinge. Wow, that takes me back. Early 90's Billy Idol was pitching VR as the new LSD; CompuServe chat rooms were talking about US troops in Bosnia; Jesus Jones told us history was over. There was a tiny window for a few years of enthusiastic hope that something wonderful was going to happen. Instead we stumbled into this current situation. The moral of the story: You can't run away from yourself.
