@adamshostack a year ago I started buying all books primarily as pdf/epub directly from publisher. Everyone wins. Unfortunately not all books can be bought this way. For audiobooks I've started using Downpour. I want to actually own the books.

For years, we've worried mostly about confidentiality of our data, but availability is being increasingly challenged with unhinged sanctions by the US that can one day affect us all for standing for our principes

Cloudflare, who certainly has enough resources to *not* pull this kind of bullshit, wastes peoples' time and disrespects people actually working on decentralized networking tech by acting like a pile of vibe coded slop running on top of their proprietary infrastructure is a legit implementation of a protocol.
Deeply insulting. Props to @JadedBlueEyes for calling this out (and for actually doing real implementation work on Matrix tech).
