I'm super happy to share, that the #Fairphone (Gen. 6) was just announced, and we've been able to already publish a lot of code for it!

* #postmarketOS support is submitted
* 59(!) patches were sent to bring up upstream #Linux on the SM7635 SoC and enable the device.
* The stock Android source code is public on code.fairphone.com

This has been a lot of work over the last couple of months so it's awesome to finally be able to share it!

Komplexes Diagramm unserer Finanzen, in dem Spenden, weitere Einnahmen, Abgaben, Domain-Kosten, Hosting-Kosten, Guthaben und Spendenziel 2 dargestellt sind. Die Spendeneinnahmen sind seit letztem Oktober durchgehend über 600€ mit einer Spitze im November von fast 2500€. Die Linie füs das Spendenziel 2 startet Anfang diesen Jahres bei Null, steigt bis April auf 1333,33€ und wird bis Ende des Jahres auf 4000€ steigen. Die Linie für das Guthaben war im Oktober noch unter -3000€, stieg dann bis Jänner auf knapp über 0€ an (das ist Spendenziel 1) blieb ca. dort bis Februar und stieg dann bis April auf fast 500€ an.

My #Fairphone is literally industructable! 💪📱💥since I've had it, it's flown out of my pocket onto pavement while riding my bike 🚲, was run over by a car 🚗 and today slipped into a pond for several seconds while I was feeding ducks 🦆. When they say they want you to have that phone forever, it's no joke, I think this phone will outlive me... Wir wollen weg von amerikanischen Anbietern. Darum mach mit bei der #ClosePayPal Challenge!

Von 1. April bis 1. Juli läuft unsere Challenge, bei der es darum geht, gemeinsam unsere Abhängigkeit von PayPal loszuwerden.
Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten mitzumachen:
1) Alle Spenden auf unser Bankkonto zählen, egal wie klein, und wenn wir es schaffen, damit monatlich unsere notwendigen Kosten zu decken (Spendenziel 1, € 850,-) dann schließen wir im Juli unser PayPal Konto!

@dr_fotograf I have the Fairphone 3 and am happy with the camera, though I'm not really a photographer.
The camera has always been the week-spot of Fairphones, but I don't know about newer models.
