@felimwhiteley Just need to weatherproof it now. Have applied clear Gorilla glue to the top of the mason jar lid this afternoon to stop the nuts and bolts rusting. Little bit of Gorilla glue also around the monopole and connector to keep the water out. Will seal around the bottom part of the lid tomorrow and have just figured that if I use the nozzle from a tube of silicon sealant, I can attach it to the underside of the lid and get it to fit snuggly into the aluminium pipe coming out the shed.
@justincrozer I think you misread my post. I'm saying that the behaviour of Israel is so appalling that when they accuse anyone who criticises them as being antisemitic it almost redefines the meaning.
@justincrozer Even the term "antisemitism" makes no sense. Historically Semitic people were associated with people of the Middle East and the Horn of Africa, including Akkadians, Arabs, Arameans, Jews, Phoenicians, etc. Most of the Jews in Israel are of American or European descent. These days it seems an Antisemite is someone who is opposed to genocide, land theft and blatant Islamophobia.

Quality bit of shed time spent this evening, constructing my new homemade 1090 MHz ground plane spider antenna for ADS-B aircraft tracking - an upgrade to my earlier prototype design (this time using a mason jar lid for attaching the radials). I am geeked out of my tiny fucking mind, ladies and gentlemen. I'll get it hooked up as soon as it stops raining, which might happen sometime this month... fingers crossed.
