Very early #OnThisDay, 6 May 1944, Marguerite 'Peggy' Knight parachutes into occupied France to be a courier for the Special Operations Executive. The British SOE supported the French resistance: couriers would move messages and equipment around an area.
Knight fought her way out of an attempted capture, and returned to the UK in September 1944.

Look at the raids and convictions of people for planning or discussing peaceful, non-violent protest. How can a Labour Govt. present a fiscal zero-sum game between spending on schools and hospitals, and spending on welfare, as if there were not other sources or income or cuts that might be made... disgraceful!

I've finished the latest baby project, and of course started on a new one! 🤗
Off to the charity shop this afternoon, the new layout seems to be working well and having the desired effect, of stopping trip hazards on the shop floor, and speeding up the whole process!
I'm still working at the till, which I love, so it's not having much impact on me.
