#PTSD, personal and communal, should be expected and anticipated for anyone in a position to care for others.
Still recovering independent scholar of Violence Studies and Feminist Theology. I'm a book collector, audiophile, & recovered fountain pen addict. My interests include history, astronomy, literary theory, climate, radical geography, neuroscience, ontology, space and place, ecology, sociology, anthropology, and the relationship between technology and identity, or how society and institutions may evolve towards a humanitarian worldview ahead of technological development.

What I can say with absolute objectivity is that the political divide in the world and the Right's *intentional* evil, burdening the public, including the anti-theist left, it only goes further to prove the existence of an Abrahamic God, which anyone could see if they have done sober close readings of the reference texts - not just what is taught about those texts. This is what I call a historically minded sociological theology. The horror is real.

What the world ultimately needs is a Václav Havel moment (no, by that I do not mean a man). And it is deeply unfortunately how many historians would not know what I mean by that. #History #histodons
Well. I didn't know #AI girlfriends were already a thing. Not surprised, but doesn't do much for my lost hope in humanity.

Now. To be clear. As much as I know about music, I wouldn't recognize a #TaylorSwift song if I heard one. I have no idea what her songs sound like and I have 0% interest. That being said, this worship - and forgiveness - by so-called #Swifties in the Philippines has nothing to do with music just as the idol-worship of Swift in the rest of the world has nothing to do with music. It is about worshiping capitalists. #NPR *danced* right around that point. #capitalism

@MirrorAyako @allstartrek Every time I see that scene I wonder what it was like filming it. By that point the entire cast of #StarTrekVoyager knew each other so well and that was such a personal-touchy touch scene that it would have been interesting to hear their off camera comments on what they were doing. #allstartrek
#FindsFriday! One of the oldest known musical instruments in the world: a #Palaeolithic #flute made from a #vulture bone some 38,000 years ago! This is one of eight known flutes found on the Swabian Jura. The finds suggest that music played an important role in this region.
Found in the Hohle Fels cave near Schelklingen.
On display at Urgeschichtliches Museum Blaubeuren.

@mrundkvist I had a salad. My very own special recipe for what could be called a chicken salad, but is nothing like traditional chicken salads. Not normal breakfast food, but I had not eaten in almost 24 hours. I love gruyère cheese!
@mrundkvist What did you have for breakfast?
@emmaaum @classicalmusic Not to mention, is he playing other people's music on his podcasts and videos? Did he obtain the rights to do so? If not he is stealing from the mouths of musicians.
@emmaaum @classicalmusic Steve wants you pay him to make a playlist. People make playlists all the time and don't ask to be paid to do so. Even I have a playlist website that is free to anyone that has no ads, no crawlers or tracking. This guy is fishy.
I'd really be interested in a historical #jazz study on how the great bassists got started as being among "the greats." I am curious because all the brilliant jazz bassists were great from the start. So, they must have been "known" from the start. There must have been something in common among them that prevented them from being just another bass player. Something specific must be common at the start of their careers. #history #jazzmusic #histodons #musichistory #doublebass
I'm not sure how many albums I have that #HaroldVick performed on. I know it is a few, but since I no longer have an active #Roon subscription I am not sure. That is exactly the kind of thing that should be included in all #metadata, but that a tangent for another day. I do know I have only one album with Harold Vick headlining, Steppin' Out. It is brilliant #jazz album. I will need to get more albums that are listed under his name, headlining. And soon. #jazzmusic
Is this where we've ended up at regards to evidence evaluation? No preregistration = No evidentiary value
What does this do our reading, understanding, and evaluation of science? Why do we need these shortcuts? This kind of thinking will lead us astray for a long time to come.

“The production and use of these compounds continues, and they are likely to impact children’s health until governments require companies to end their use and switch to safer solutions,” the study’s authors wrote.
