@academicchatter At a personal level: I work in a field so far from what people traditionally see as psychology (farm animal welfare and veterinary education) that I hadn´t identified with the psychology field for some time. But now that I work in #interdisciplinary research, I was having a bit of an identity crisis- I´m not a veterinarian, biologist, ethicist, or any number of other fields that I work with...
But I *am* a psychologist. And seeing where we all work is inspiring.

Oh man, do I feel this comic.
Since starting to lead interdisciplinary projects, I´ve started to dread the "start the meeting by introducing yourself" round.
"Hi, I´m a psychologist with a PhD in neuroscience who worked in pharma then in farm animal behaviour and welfare and now in farm animal welfare and sustainability and getting more and more into animal law" just doesn´t have the same ring as "Hi, I´m Jo, cardiologist."
After a week with great #science and #interdisciplinary discussions our workshop "#Mathematical Methods in Quantum #Chemistry" at #mfo has ended yesterday. Thanks to everyone who made it !
