I can't believe how many positive reactions I've found under this video. It's the best thing a #solodev can get.

If you're attending PAX East this week, come to Games From Poland booth 15078 and play Bearnard!
I have not planned it at all, but... here it is :D Bearnard is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 9th 2025!

You might have missed Bearnard. But „Get Indie Gaming” says you really shouldn't!
Hey folks. I’ve been observing in Bearnard’s storefront stats that there’s significant traffic from Mastodon. Which blows my mind as I did not expect it at all. Out of curiosity, is there anybody here who discovered Bearnard just by visiting my profile / post here and totally missed it out in other social media?

I had an amazing conversation with @stayathomedev about my game Bearnard and a @godotengine. Check it out!
Another milestone reached. Today I launched first public demo of Bearnard. Enjoy!
@godotengine https://youtube.com/@videogameiacs?si=mLgpxBz1Gn1yfY8I fantastic person with such soothing voice that he could read receipts and I would still be amused.
Yesterday I had pleasure to observe the first streamer enjoying my game publicly.
It's super cool to watch reactions on all tiny details and micro mechanics that I've worked and iterated almost endlessly :D Many of them are invisible to regular player, but I see them working and I'm even more confident that it was the right choice to design the game this way.
@oivoi @sirmike @markuslatvala true. There is no silver bullet. So many variables :)
@oivoi @markuslatvala definitely, let a group of people play and get feedback. I had „awesome” and well tested controls for Bearnard and my testers proved I was so wrong… during Poznan Game Arena event where I showcased the game publicly for the first time I realized that people want to play the game in a different way. So I changed a main button for controlling the bow. It was the best change one could imagine. And I could not figure it out by myself for over 2 years.
@oivoi Every time you post a new gif / screenshot I feel good. It definitely scratches the right spot in my brain :D
Bearnard has dropped a new gameplay trailer. Enjoy!
Share it pls and spread the word <3
PS - One may ask, what's the effort of making such video being Indie? It's huge :) 3 people working for over a month. Writing the story, recording gameplay, setting up scenes, arranging music licences, endless fixes, typos...
@pograneeu @tomgwynplaine @aarchangl @sirmike dziękuję :) Jestem tu od jakiegoś czasu. Raczej jakieś techniczne wrzutki dla węższego grona. Głównie EN.
@oivoi Cool, it reminds me of Trials which I absolutely love!
@fallible @godotengine wdyt?
@fallible @godotengine That's a good hint, although I wanted to avoid having transparent pixels at edges. On the other hand, it still looks pretty good.
