Maker of things, professionally & personally. I work at a kids museum designing, building, & programming interactive exhibits, from cabinetry to code. I enjoy learning new things while achieving ambitious goals.
I love getting outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, amateur radio, & paddling.

In the 1960s, this absurdly large camera was used to make masks for integrated circuits. The layers of the integrated circuit were drawn at large scale and then optically shrunk to make the glass masks that were used in manufacturing.

Also, an explicit invitation to hams and not-licensed-radio-ethusiasts who feel left out or uncomfortable in more traditional amateur radio clubs.

Awesome! Those folks do terrific work with some really fun tech. I find museum work to be so fulfilling because people experience and learn new things that may positively affect the trajectory of their lives.

My friend sent me a link to this tiny lil’ mac and said it was perfect for feminist hacker Barbie’s dream house: https://blog.1bitrainbow.com/pico-mac-nano/
Yes, I am excited to have twenty new infrared distance sensors (replacements for the paint dispenser I made) but the presence of the corner on this tray cutoff makes me wish I’d ordered enough for a full tray, just so I could gaze upon a complete collection 😀
My route planner for Denmark that refuses to drive on roads named after men is now online:

I wrote a program to lipsync the shipping forecast in a terminal window, and I have no regrets.
Camera flash could crash the Raspberry Pi 2! The "Xenon Death Flash" is one of tech's weirdest bugs. How a community solved it (with Blu-Tack!) 📸💥
@KC8JC That’s a thing I loved about my old Wrangler, too! With the 4cyl in there, the hood felt cavernous!
