We agree with American Bar Association that there is no statute of limitations on ratifications, and call upon the US Archivist to do her job and publish the #28thAmendment of the #USConstitution, codifying equal rights for women and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Valid point, but we only need 2/3 of both House and Senate to pass it. The House would need 72 flipped districts, the Senate would need 18 flipped.

I know that seems like a lot, but we need to focus on a permanent solution, imo. SCOTUS cannot offer permanence, apparently. (And yes, getting out the vote is a vital part of that.)

If successful, we should indeed also work for a #GunReform #Amendment. I don't see any permanent solution to that insanity, either, I afraid.

Sincere but probably stupid question here:

Other than using the subject to secure votes in the next election, why is it that no politician is proposing we start working on creating a new Constitutional #Amendment to protect #abortion?

If a majority of the public, even in many red states, is clearly #ProChoice, then why not work towards passing a new #Amendment? If so, then the majority-Conservative #SCOTUS can just be damned.
