Přidal jsem domů další teploměr. Proč by ne, když to jde tak snadno. Rámečky kolem vypínačů a zásuvek pro různý počet komponentů mám, model pro #3Dtisk jsem udělal už dávno. Stačí jen vytisknout a přesunout elektroniku teploměru z krabičky do krabičky.
Žádné lepení na stěnu, žádné sekání do zdi.

I hadn't used CAD software in the last 20 years. Last time was actually back in engineering school...
At university I just drew technical schematics by hand.
Now that I want to get into #3DPrining, I kinda need to get back into #CAD though, so on the weekend I installed #FreeCAD on my Gentoo system, and got right into part design.
First project: A new soap-holder.
It is being printed right now.
is there a cheap way to #3d scan for #3dprining ? looked at some apps and stuff, but they either are expensive shit, or are low quality/fuck up the dimensions...

I downloaded and printed the piece on the left but it ended up being the wrong size, so I moddeled it myself and it was a perfect fit first try.

After re-trying the calibration, I think I got EVEN closer! That's insane, best I've done so far I belive. Gonna test some accuracy now.
This is with the VF of 21 too. Raising the temps definitely did help.

Extruder and hot-end built. That was an intense process. I feel the most difficult part is now done, I hope it all works, but knowing I can just open it up and fix it is so refreshing.

I had an idea. I ran across someone talking about making 3d printed parts from hand drawings by scanning them and tracing them to an SVG.
At first I tried just tracing the end but I couldn't get anything really clean. Finally we just cut a little bit off and threw it on the scanner...
