Well, finally got my rig set up for digital modes this weekend and decided to have a run at it! #FT8 is definitely interesting how well it can hear signals. Ended up with some really distant hits this weekend on both #6m and #10m bands. Will see how well it holds my interest over time.

This weekend was interesting on the #6m band. #6meters was very strange this morning, a pretty much fiber-optic quality path right into Florida Every contact I had was a 59+. Also had a really good time last night on #20m getting a bunch of #POTA contacts.

Well, I didn't get a chance to hunt any POTA this weekend, BUT I did finally get to put up my PAR Electronics OA-50 antenna! It's been sitting around for far too long, and now that it's getting to be summer, 6 meters should be coming alive a bit, so I'm glad to have gotten it set up.

@kr1st Yeah. Interesting it seems that many of the #6meter #repeaters listed in repeaterbook.com seem to be QRT.

@kr1st I found a couple of local #6meter #repeaters. I'll give them a try. I found this video for programming the #IC7300 for repeaters. fun stuff. youtu.be/LOrKUcs0eac?feature=s

The #6meter #MFSK144 #MeteorScatter stations heard here overnight.

Fascinating stuff.

The 6 meter band in Lane County, Oregon is super quiet. If you're nearby, I'm hanging out on 53.035 Mhz (I've caught a few faint signals there in a few days of scanning).
