We’re proud to celebrate (again!) BIT alum Luis Salazar, now a Salesforce Admin at — you guessed it — Salesforce! 🩵

His neurodivergent-friendly ChatGPT project was named one of Mentra’s Top 5 Demo Day innovations. No surprise — he also won our 2024 Demo Org Jam! 🔥

Luis, you keep raising the bar. 👏

Hey everyone,

I hope you’re doing well! I’m reaching out to invite blind musicians, producers, and artists to join an **accessibility feedback group** for Sessionwire — a platform I’ve been using and really enjoying for a couple of years now.

**What is Sessionwire?**
Sessionwire is a remote music collaboration platform that allows musicians, producers, and audio professionals to work together in real time. It offers studio-quality audio, high-definition video, and seamless integration with popular DAWs, letting users collaborate on projects as if they were in the same room.

**Why am I reaching out?**
One of the developers at Sessionwire has asked me to bring together a group of blind users to help improve the platform’s accessibility. They already know which areas need work and are eager to collaborate with us to make Sessionwire better for everyone.

**Interested in participating?**
If you’re interested, **please reach out to me privately (one-on-one)** and send me the email address you’d like to use for communication. If you plan to use the same address to sign up for Sessionwire, let me know; otherwise, please also send the email you’ll use for your Sessionwire account.

If you have **any questions**, feel free to let me know!

Let’s work together to make Sessionwire more accessible for the blind community!

Hey everyone! 😊

I've been diving into React on freeCodeCamp, and wow, it's quite the challenge! As someone who's totally blind and learning to code, I'm finding it a bit tricky to wrap my head around all the concepts. The whole component-based architecture is fascinating but also a bit overwhelming at times.

I'm really determined to push through because I believe in the power of accessible apps and want to contribute to making tech more inclusive for everyone. Plus, it's exciting to think about all the possibilities once I get the hang of it!

If anyone has tips or resources that might help make learning React a bit easier, I'd love to hear them. Also, if you're learning React too, let's connect and support each other!

🎉 **Finally finished my #freeCodeCamp cash register project!** 🎉

This one was a real challenge, but with the support of several amazing people, persistence, and some thorough Web searches, I got it done! This has been the hardest project yet, but now I’m 4/5 of the way through the #JavaScript certification! 🙌

Next up is a project that will dive into #asynchronous programming. Here’s what I’ll be tackling:

**Project: Learn Asynchronous Programming by Building an fCC Forum Leaderboard**
*Status: Not started*

JavaScript is an asynchronous programming language, and this project will help me gain proficiency in asynchronous concepts. I’ll be coding my own freeCodeCamp forum leaderboard. 🚀

This project will cover:
- The Fetch API
- Promises
- Async/Await
- The try..catch statement

I’m making so much progress and learning a lot! Sometimes it feels frustrating when things take longer to understand, but I know that every step is part of the journey. 💪✨

Technological advancements offer significant benefits for people with disabilities, outweighing the risks of being left behind. Elevators, much like robotaxis, enhance independence and participation for those with disabilities. Co-creation is key in ensuring these technologies cater to everyone's needs. This requires collaboration among technology developers, city planners, policymakers, and the disabled community. An inclusive legal framework and private sector commitment are crucial. Beyond compliance, this represents a moral and economic opportunity to address a previously overlooked market. 'Bridge the Gap' envisions a future where technology advancements like robotaxis are an accessible reality, signifying progress for all, regardless of abilities. This story is one of hope, inclusion, and a relentless pursuit of a world that acknowledges and embraces everyone's potential.
