Here's the whole . It's not a small plant, but the flowers are. Green

A wide shot of the Pentaglottis sempervirens. It has large oval green leaves that nearly hug the ground. This base is about 2-3 feet in diameter, with 2 visible stems growing from the center and elevated about 45 degrees from the ground. These grow toward the left corners in this image. Small branches and smaller spear-shaped leaves grow from this every few inches. At the ends of the branches are the pink buds and small blue flowers. It's growing at the edge of a pile of dead brush.

I think - corrections welcome. I noticed this while pulling up blackberries. It's the first time I've seen one of these - quite a pretty little . Also called and Green according to Wikipedia.

A closeup of about 6 Pentaglottis Sempervirens flowers growing at the top of the plant. The flowers have 5 light blue petals that resemble the tabs on a puzzle piece. These spread out from a white circle in the center; within that is an even smaller black spot, which Wikipedia calls a flower-tube, in which the reproductive parts reside.
The leaves are spear shaped and a conventional green, with serrated edges and spiky white hairs. The hairs are also on the stem and look like a formidable defense. There are out of focus twigs and foliage in the background.

@karochan3 that staff is a bloody nightmare to get rid of! It’s in the same classification as cockroaches for likely surviving the end of the world #Alkanet

After some mishap involving my (already injured) left hand, I did not spin on Monday. I’ve managed roughly 30 minutes of relaxed spinning today. Better than nothing. #teamhairyelephants #tourdefleece #alkanet #naturaldye
