FreeBSD 15.0’s installer to gain option to install a full KDE Plasma desktop environment
One of the things lacking from the FreeBSD installation routine is the easy installation of a full desktop experience, from X11 all the way up to a login manager, desktop environment, and its applications. It seems this might finally change for FreeBSD 15.0, as the FreeBSD Foundation’s Laptop Support and Usability Improvements project is working on adding support for this to bsdinstall, the FreeBSD installer.

If anyone's interested, this eBay seller has Lenovo M910q TinyPCs for £49.99. They have a failed DisplayPort apparently, and 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, but that is upgradable and they'd make neat little Linux/BSD homelab servers. Happy new year to everyone! I’m back in full time making icons again after a half break here between Christmas and new year. A Cosmic DE screenshot in abstract art and custom made icons to fit it. I’m almost finish the “Cosmic Storm” icon set and it look good.

Today I lost to #haproxy. It kicked my ass in a way that I’m almost too embarrassed to fully detail.
Suffice it to say I may have discovered a bug but I’ll have to get back to detailing this shortly. It refused to acknowledge there was a backend server available even when it told me there was. Just mindblowing.
I was doing tcpdumps and still couldn’t even find evidence such an attempt was made on the network to find. Oh but it could tell me when the host went up and down. :P
