Fabulous day out. Visited Berry Head and walked along the coastal path to Brixham and back.

Looking out from Berry Head at the calm sea and rugged coastline. Steep cliffs and small islands can be seen and the sounds of the bird life that inhabits them could be heard.

I was in #Devon for New Year, doing the BirdForum collaborative bird list. So my first wild flower of the year was at #BerryHead in #Brixham, where I went to look for Razorbill for our collective list. After seeing the bird, I found a Bristly Ox-tongue for #WildflowerHour. #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography

Das hier ist nun die andere Richtung. #Torquay aufgenommen von #BerryHead aus. Es sind 8km Luftlinie dazwischen.

Der Ausflug nach #BerryHead war traumhaft. Wir könnten da für immer bleiben.

Heute ging es nach #BerryHead. Stunning view.

Back to Berry Head, Brixham this morning as an Alpine Swift was reported there yesterday. After a bit of a wait, the bird was seen. I watched it fly about below us and then out to sea. Along with the Swift, plenty of Razorbill, Gannet and Gulls as well as Short-beaked Common Dolphin. Another birding memory made!

Day 8 of #12DaysWild was the annual #birdforum combined bird-list event, so I was chasing around looking at birds. But as it's also #WidflowerHour here's a sprig of Gorse from #BerryHead, #Devon. There were porpoises offshore, too. Great place. And a decent chunk of the day it didn't even rain!
