I was walking through Grand Army Plaza back in August 2023 when someone handed me a box of water. I drank the boxed water. It was fine water. Good enough to make me buy boxed water? No. But I digress. The box was very verbose. On the side the box promises that the company will plant two trees if you post a photo of the box with #betterplanet. Note the box does not say WHERE you have to post the hashtag. I assume this offer is applicable to Pixelfed. I'll do a second hashtag so maybe we get four trees.

PURE touts that the water underwent an 8-step purification process and is pH neutral with no additives. YOU POST WE PLANT asks people to post an image of the carton with the hashtag #betterplanet and the company would plant two trees in a National Forest. It claims they already planted 1,400,000 trees.

Nachhaltig ist das Argument der Zeit. Immer mehr Hersteller verpacken nachhaltig und das schätzen zum Glück auch immer mehr Verbraucher. Hersteller müssen sich Gedanken machen Kunststoffe einzusparen und auf Alternativen zu setzen. Ich freue mich, dass ein Umdenken stattfindet.
