Coins for the 80th anniversary of Victory Day issued in Kazakhstan with face values of 200 and 1,000 tenge.

The coins feature an eternal flame, symbolizing the memory of fallen heroes. The ornamental design on the number “80” represents the Victory ribbon and is stylized to echo elements of the Kazakh national flag.

It's only a few days before the next Coin of Note Newsletter. How did you go guessing the #MysteryCoin this time around? Have a guess and let us know what you think it is?

A description of the country might read "In Central Europe, known for its mountains, ski resorts and glacial lakes fed by hot springs & cliffside medieval castles. In the capital, baroque facades mix with 20th-century architecture".

The first regular circulation 1 pound coin in #Egypt (there were several earlier commemoratives), was this #Bimetallic coin in 2005 (Islamic year 1426). With a brass centre in copper-nickel ring, it is non-magnetic where later issues are brass plated steel centre in nickel plated steel ring, and so magnetic. I really like the depiction of the mask of Tutankhamun. #coins #CoinCollecting #Numismatics #History
