A flock of 9 or 10 ibis foraging around a suburban footpath

Took a walk around the sports fields, on the way to pick up wine before the Four Day Crisis arrives. Lots of birds about, but loved seeing these ones gathered.

Why so many ravens all poking at the ground together? More flying over, and hanging about in trees, this is just the ones on the ground.

And a lovely little group of ibis, including 6 white ibis and 2 straw-necked ibis. No bins for these birds, much better pickings up here at Lake Macquarie. (But I bet they've already visited the Awaba Tip not too far away!)

A whole lot of ravens (commonly: crows, good-sized black birds) on very green grass in front of some bush and bulrushes. A couple of magpies in there too.
