Solitude in the Shade of Books
People who grow up reading a lot of books and watching many movies often find themselves alone at some point. Their solitude reflects the words of poet Abul Hasan—
"At last, I have learned that man is alone."
This happens because book lovers mature faster than their peers.
Over time, their thoughts, interests, and perspectives change. They develop a deeper sense of art, logic, and observation that others may not understand. Their way of seeing the world becomes sharper and more thoughtful. As a result, they no longer connect with the mindset and priorities of people their age.
That’s why people say—when you start losing friends, it means you are maturing. These individuals often feel like they were born in the wrong era. They struggle to relate to others and may feel frustrated with old friends. Thoughts like "Why don’t they think like me?" or "Why do they act so irrationally?" become common.
With time, they start withdrawing into their own world. Friends, relatives, and familiar faces no longer fit in. Their world becomes a space for their own thoughts, ideas, and priorities.
And in the end, no one remains—only solitude.
