My son gave me a container of booze soaked almonds and raisins as you can see in the picture.
What can I make with this? I thought fruitcake if I added some other things to it, but when would we eat it next Christmas? And I'm the only one that really likes it!

Made cake. Special occasion being the whipping cream expiring, plus wanting to free up space of the stuff I used for it. Also, first time ever using the just pour it over and hope for the best tactic when it comes to the jelly on top. I normally carefully paint each fruit slice and it takes forever (and I have to keep on reheating the jelly because it's not staying liquid that long).

Currently enjoying this Bourbon Barrel Aged Red Ale. Quite delicious! Almost reminds me of a Barleywine.

🌠 hate cheese 🧀, so used whipping cream instead

🌠 put drunken 🥴 waffles between cream layers

🌠 put fruit cubes in cake creams

🌠 went for another top fruit decoration

🌠 used real dark choc flakes, not cocoa sugar wormies 🪱

Heart-shaped cake with the Butchered at Birth artwork on top. The lateral sides are covered in a red jelly. The top and bottom edges are framed by dark cream decoration.

Cake decorated on top with kiwi and strawberry hearts, as well as white grapes. The lateral sides are coated in chocolate flakes.

I made #cake.

From base to top: crushed ladyfingers, #boozy choc cream, drunken waffles, boozy cream, almond & fruity (kiwi, apple, grapes) layer in jelly, choc & pink sugar deco.

(yeah, I know I used Xmas choc decorations... whatever)

My cakes tend to get quite a bit of appreciation, though I'm not sure whether that's because they taste good or because I put half a bottle of hard liqueur in there and everyone is too... um, happy to care about anything else...

Chocolate mousse. I may have used about 100ml of Amaretto (including for soaking the raisins on top) for 4 cups.

Chocolate mousse in a cup with whipped cream, Amaretto-soaked raisins and milk and dark choc decorations on top.

A mess, just like me.

Base: crushed ladyfingers mixed with butter.
Cream layers: whipped cream, salted caramel chocolate liqueur, sugar, vanilla syrup; half was mixed width melted dark choc for the darker bottom two of four cream layers.
In between cream layers: butter waffles soaked in egg liqueur/ same liqueur as in cream, bottom two layers also with choc chips; in between waffles, there are little bits of fruit, caramelised apple for bottom two, then strawberries from preserve.

Amaretto-soaked citrusy cocoa sponge layers, chocolate cream, marzipan coat, chocolate glaze, chocolate flakes and forest fruit syrup.
