The eagle-eyed amongst you will spot my dog reflected in the glass door as she patiently waits for me to stop interupting her morning walk once again with yet more photographs of buildings!

A 14th Century arch used to create an entrance into a late 20th Century museum building. This is the Burrell Collection in Pollok Park in Glasgow, designed by Barry Gasson Architects and opened in 1983. This is one of several old stone arches incorporated into the building, including the 16th Century Hornby Portal, through which the main part of the museum is entered.

The townhouse of William Burrell, the ship-owner and art collector who donated the Burrell collection to the city of Glasgow. Part of Great Western Terrace in the West End of the city, it was designed by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson and was built in 1869. Burrell bought it in 1902.

@thisismyglasgow Looking forward seeing #Glasgow. I’ll be visiting the #AMEE2023 conference on #meded next week. Many lectures to attend but in between I’ll hope to enjoy the city and the #burrellcollection
Congratulations to the Burrell Collection. 👏
If you haven't been to the revamped museum we reckon that it is well worth a visit.
