Today's frustration.
First: this is only on the C64, both using AV and S-Video. It is there regardless of NTSC/PAL
Second: this monitor works just fine with the Mega65 and was also tested using RGB/AV output from a Sega Dreamcast.
Obviously the C64 is new, and the video cable is also new from commodore.net.
According to (barf) Gemini this was a common problem with the Ultimate, but the "help" it's giving me is utter hallucinated bull.
Oh, and I've also tried a safe mode boot with default settings to no avail.
Has anyone run into this? If you did and ESPECIALLY if you fixed it let me know!
I'm good to just HDMI/dvi, but also want to have a relatively authentic experience.

@afachat OK so the #C64U has whatever computer is overtop the 6502 anyway, so it would have been really sweet to have an ML monitor. ✨
There is fast program loading, if you load a "PRG" directly. And if the program you want is on a floppy, you can (I forget the exact steps but) locate the floppy disk image in the menu, enter it to see its contents (press D?), then select the program that would load first, then select the 'fast-load this program and also mount the disk' option (whatever it was).
@golemwire yes even going back from the UltiPET to the #C64U feels like a step backwards... faster loading? Disk commands? ML monitor built-in? (I'm not even asking for a freeze / memory explorer)...
But with the Command Interface I hope I can make at least GeckOS blazingly fast ... #8bit

Today I have a successful upgrade and integration test with my #Pinecil
