Desde hace tiempo llevaba la idea de abandonar el Apple Watch que tengo, un series 3 comprado hace ya 6 años, y pasarme a un reloj más sencillo. Principalmente porque la batería ya no funciona bien.

Así que he ido a lo fácil y funcional y me he comprado un Casio. No es el F-91W que es el sencillo. He ido a por el AE-1200 conocido como el Casio Royale. Y pasar a un reloj que da la hora y poco más me emociona mucho.

@kev Casio AE-1200 (aka the "Casio Royale". I made the mistake of starting my Saturday wearing the Pixel Watch 2. Should've gone with my 1st instinct which was this model. It's an attention-getter. Yes, there's entirely too much going on here. But the time is still easy to read at a glance. From its nickname to the world time zones, this watch is a conversation piece.

And it's a full suite of features without the need to mod the PCB.

It’s still cheaper than most "brand" watches, and to the casual eye, it still looks like an original cheap Casio. But now, it's built like a tank. It’ll likely last a long, long time.

I think I’ve built the ultimate sleeper daily-use watch.

New retro watch daily driver! I'm very happy with my new £30 Casio "Royale" (AE-1200WH). I might need to swap the battery in 10 years and maybe buy another watch in 30. Now to mod it to my heart's content! And even if I go crazy with mods (titanium + steel body / sapphire glass), it'll still cost only about 1/5 of a top-end Samsung or Apple smartwatch!

Not exactly a #wristcheck since I suck at them...but this is the #watch on my #wrist today. The #citizen AW1361-10H was one of the first #watches I purchased when I was trying to find my preferences. I bought this to see if the #EcoDrive #solar tech was good. It became one of my favorites (alongside the #casioroyale), and set my preference for #quartz movements with solar charging. One issue: the seconds hand is difficult to see. #watchesofmastodon #watchesofpixelfed
