The word “#comrade” is being used again by young #progressive organizers. It’s historically tied to communism and was weaponized during McCarthyism, so it still feels loaded for some.

But the word also shows up in the military and veterans groups, meaning close allies or teammates. Progressive comradeship is definietly a meaningful and unifying concept for the growing #AntiAuthoritarian movement—one rooted in shared values, mutual care, and love for justice.
