Deux grèbes à cou noir (petit oiseau aquatique au bec pointu avec un plumage noir et orange, avec une tête noire, des aigrettes jaunes autour d'yeux rouges) qui nagent dans l'eau d'un étang.

Deux grèbes à cou noir qui entament une course sur l'eau, côte à côte, pour leur parade nuptiale.

Great Crested Grebe:

A sleek looking bird glides through still water, it's image reflected in the mirror-like surface. The bird has a greyish-brown back with rust coloured flecks showing through. It's throat is white, while its head is mostly covered in longer, rust coloured feathers with a white streak under it's eye. it's dark "crest" is folder flat against the top of it's head. It has a large, black, dagger shaped beak.

Pair of Great Crested Grebe:

A pair of Great Crested Grebe's face each other on calm water. They are mostly a greyish brown with white throats and rust coloured heads with a white flash under the eye. Their black "Crests" are sticking out and the bird on the left has it's beak slightly open

I have a fantastic day yesterday on my photography shoot at Clough Head. Still plenty of Siskins around to photography. These a such beautiful birds.

During the breeding season, male Siskins perform captivating aerial displays to attract females, showcasing their agility and vibrant colors. It’s a sight to behold! #CourtshipDisplay #BirdWatching 🕊️💃
