Oh my gosh... 🤨
The #enshitfication process is running faster than I thought... 🤔
And now we are converting the #fediverse as a market for selling stuff... Even #CrapAI that are going to create a resume of your stream for you...
Congrats geniuses... 👏👏👏
I reiterate my last #gemlog

Oh my gosh... so funny if it wasn't so sad... I wonder why the #DMCA folks are gently ignoring al the this #crapAI, but if you rip a 20yo DVD are most likely to foreclose your house ... :flan_think:
Dear #artists #artist #designers #designer #graphicdesigners #graphicdesigner #illustrators #illustrator #painters #painter
I found these two tools that should help protect your work from #abusive #AI scraping and training; These tools are called #Glaze and #Nightshade both can be used simultaneously!
The former protects your images, the latter poisons the (abusive) models.
Very useful and important to know and to share:

https://nightshade.cs.uchicago.edu/whatis.html?ref=journal.hexmos.com
A big thank to @informapirata that made discover these essential tools!
I ended up using #CrapAI and #ChatGPT as well.
I used it to create 200 dummy XML files. Every after 20 entries it forgot some tags and I had to reiterate the prompt each time.
For me the real surprise was using natural language to give commands, and despite my English is not that good, it understood every request. I tried to explain the same task to some workmates and they never understood what I was trying to achieve with their help... :flan_XD:
Using #AI to create dummy data doesn't hurt anyone, I hope... :flan_beg:
@AnnemarieBridy @neil @pierreprinetti
Isn't it a bit comical that from one side all pushing from #CrapAI and from the other side please do not use it on my project? :flan_shrug:
It has already started, earlier than I thought though... Some companies have started to employ designers to train their models to sell to their clients the illusion that a magicamation AI is creating the right things for them.
It is just ridicoulus... It is ridiculous the idea of a human being that works for a machine, with the only scope to sell a lie to the customers convinced to get rid off of those pesky designers, always asking for money... These graphic designers really suck!
I am probably too old to be substituted by any LLM/AI, I'll be hopefully already retired, but it is unbelievable what some are cooking for our children...
Because the principle of cause and effect, this ridicoulus approach of dehumanizing one of the main human activities, will produce generations of young adults that will study only matters that machine learning can't do yet or at all.
It will be amusing watching this evolution...
I hope these #crapAI will be able to fix this very weird 2000ish behavior for which used products cost more than new ones... :flan_facepalm:
I accidentally stepped into Bang #crapAI and I noticed that it is more presumptive than politicians, and when it didn't like something it cutted off the conversation as a real politician....
And now I am very concerned... :flan_nooo:
I got this nice article about #crapAI
https://www.namecheap.com/blog/the-future-of-blogging-in-the-age-of-ai/
In this article the dialectic is totally out of whack...
After expressed all the concerning and the risks about AI, a simple rinse is enough to wash everything out:
"Ethical concerns aside, AI is here to stay. And as long as you use it responsibly, AI can become an invaluable tool for blogging. AI can help you write articles faster, provide more ideas, and give you new angles and perspectives."
Ethical concerning aside?
As long as you use it responsible?
You can't use anything that is unethical responsibly, it is a perverse oxymoron.
Get the job done doesn't justify anything...
Why don't we reinstate slavery for instance?
"Ethical concerns aside, «slavery» is here to stay, «historically an invaluable asset for the oligarchies». And as long as you use it responsibly, «a slave» can become an invaluable tool for «your AI Home Assistant. AIHA can control the slave, organizing turns to clean up your house, let the slave refill your pantry going to shop, and have your closet always organized»
Sure, as long as you use it responsibly... :flan_facepalm:
That article is so immensely imbecile that perhaps has been really written by an #AI.
I believe we need to fight back and get rid of any #MLAI as soon as possible since nothing that has been designed unethically will bring anything positive to the society.

@absc please help me out! :flan_beg:
Ok folks we need a serious discussion around #AI, #licenses and #scraping...
I really invite anyone has a powerful echo-chamber to step out and take action.
Subjects as for instance #CreativeCommons folks, #lawmakers if are in the #fediverse and anyone else has the right leverages.
A couple of days ago a person pointed out that you can fill a form to avoid to be ingested by #openAI; this doesn't make sense and it is unfair.
Any #AI #scrapers must comply with the rules of any other scrapers and if there are not rules at all perhaps we had better to create a rule that say: "No AI allowed here!".
But this is not enough we need to reconsider all the Creative Commons licenses and all of the variations must be coupled with NO-AI allowed, or implying (redefine though) that are NO-AI by default and AI are allowed to ingest them when this licenses say YES-AI...
When I release my content #CC0 is meant for other human-being, I never thought nor wanted to be available for non-human interaction, I do what I do for other people and this must be respected.
The same principles might be applied to software code, although coding is not my expertise, but I'd like to have the #freedom to say I don't want my code ingested by a non-human being.
Please stop to transform the World Wide Web into the Word Wild Web, thanks.
#Boost appreciated... :flan_coffee:
This is way more sad than doing basic math wrong, which is very human...
"A red ninja in a bamboo forest spitting fire from the mouth"
:flan_facepalm:
@mwl This is interesting, those #CrapAI models are likely to scrape anything regardless of laws, rules and regulation. You bet!
What if the lawmakers say you can build models only around the public domain and copyleft stuff?
In such scenario we would have a pool of information and data where the majority of the data gathered would be, at least, 40/50 years older than the current information available, and we would have a #CrapAI producing anachronistic output...
Totally amusing! :flan_wine:
