Now my WIP efforts get to the models that need more work and attention. This Contemptor was a great second hand deal, assembled and magnetized, though missing a few arm options. But it needed finishing in a bad way. Ready now to add some umph as a Custodian Attack Walker for the Custodian Brothers in Grimdark Future.

Custodes vs Adeptus Mechanicus (35 - 65)

This was rough. I underestimated the Kastelan Robots’ lethality and misunderstood my opponent’s reactive move. The Kataphron Breachers are surprisingly scary in short-distance shooting.

Overall, it was a game of mistakes on my side that I couldn't recover from; it was a good fight nonetheless.

MVP was the new Jet Bikes; two of them took an Armiger to three wounds in a single round of shooting.

I play a lot of #40k and it’s not that I hate playing against #custodes. Since their codex the army is much more balanced and fair (looking at you Arcane Genetic Alchemy).

It’s that they’re pretty boring to play against. Everyone owns this army because it’s pretty cheap to get to 2000 points. They’re easy to paint. If everything goes right they’re still tough but it rarely does.

Mostly it turns into chasing their remaining units around a map a bit.
