A friend of mine thought I needed a couple of #CYD boards - so I found a them on Amazon the JC2432W328C - a 2.8" TFT with capacitive touch screen & ESP32. This board is quite a bit different then my really "cheap" yellow board that I found on Aliexpress for I think $9 dollars.
I found these to be a bit easier to use too.

The back side of the different boards. This is where we see quite a bit of difference between the two boards. (TOP) this is the old board, it has both micro and USB-C connectors, is missing a port a long the top of the board, doesn't have the touch panel connector. The serial chip (I believe) is in a slightly different place. along the bottom it has different push buttons (actually like these buttons a bit better) It also has a speaker connector, but is missing a battery connector and another button. The RGB LED is also on the back side on this board. The identifier is ESP32-2432S028 (R)

The board on the bottom has quite a bit more traces that can be seen on the PCB and looks like it has some other components on it. This board only uses USB-C. The board has the label Cuition JC2432W328 (C)

(TOP) The old "cheap" yellow display board I had with a different touch driver, and resistive panel. (BOTTOM) one of my new cheap yellow display boards - this is the top of each board, just from looking there isn't much difference - the new board has a RGB led on the front, and pretty clearly a different touch panel and screen

If you had said even 5 years ago that I would be doing this, I would have thought you'd be crazy, or having a laugh.

But at @cyd flashes up old tweets, ancient blog shares as being deleted it's... strangely satisfying.

@cyd Hey, I installed Cyd, imported my (large) xTwit archive. But the day I did that I wasn't ready to delete all my tweets, so I stopped it.

Now, when I launch Cyd to continue, it's stuck on the screen with the timer. And it's using 4TB of virtual memory.

I did just uninstall and reinstall it but that didn't change anything.

Any ideas? (I'm on Linux Mint if that helps)

J'avais désactivé mon compte #Twitter le 20 janvier dans le cadre de #HelloQuitteX, et j'étais dans la période de 30 jours avant qu'il soit supprimé, mais je viens de le réactiver car j'ai découvert #Cyd (https://cyd.social/).

C'est une application #opensource qui permet de supprimer tous les tweets, retweets, likes, messages privés (après les avoir éventuellement sauvegardés), bref, d'annuler toute l'activité qu'on a eu sur le réseau et de se désabonner de tous les comptes qu'on suivait.

A friend wants to delete all their #Facebook posts without deleting their account. I thought of #cyd @cyd, but it seems that only supports Twitter for now. What are people using to scrub Facebook?

A differenza di chi continua a mantenere il suo account su X/twitter seppur ripulendo post ed info del proprio account, @ufficiozero il giorno 12 febbraio eliminerà ogni traccia da X compreso il suo account. Per noi eliminare il nostro account significa appunto eliminare ogni triste traccia del nostro approdo sul vecchio e controllato social.
