Tried that system with the future owner yesterday. Unfortunately the slight click that the switcher makes transitioning from a mute channel to an active one is unacceptable.. ๐Ÿ˜”

Not sure if I can make a true- or a relay- bypass switch that is absolutely clickless. I'm starting to look into the JFET-based buffered bypass โ€” the system that's used in Boss & Ibanez pedals.

Ever built a Bluetooth music display? The KT1025A chip fetches song metadata (title, artist, lyrics) from apps like NetEase Cloud Music & Kugou!

๐Ÿ”น Outputs via serial as NN + XXXX (song/artist) or NF + XXXX (lyrics).
๐Ÿ”น Critical note: Serial monitors must use UTF-8 to display Chinese text correctly.

Great for projects! Anyone tried decoding ID3 tags with this?

I recently built a pair of single driver speakers based on the Dayton Audio ND90-8. They sound great in 4 litre bass reflex cabinets, highly recommended! Then I came across this thing on Youtube, where the guy from Print Your Speakers use a close relative of the driver I used, the ND91, to make a 3D printed, modern version of 90s desktop PC/Mac speakers. Super cool project, note the final solution for the bass reflex port: youtu.be/9e9ITi_Ngz0 #DIYAudio #speakers #retrocomputing

A pair of homemade pico neo speakers, based on the Dayton Audio ND90-8 3,5 inch drivers. The front baffle on the right speaker is visible, it's covered in walnut veneer. The left speaker is turned around with the back to the camera, and it's covered in grey vinyl.

Another kind of heresy: just put class d plate amps in my #dtqwt. So far not nearly as fun as Jfetbuffer->autoformer->vfet-chain but does save space.

This was my first time doing a crossover, and it turned out ok once I stopped trying to eq out reflexions:-)

Pico neo single driver speaker project is done, mounted the drivers today, Dayton Audio ND90s. The speakers sound amazing for the size, precise, roomy bass. Those 32mm bass reflex ports are really moving some air around. They're all that I hoped for in that department. I'm not in love with the vinyl wrap, but it's all right for now. #DIYAudio #audio #speakers #diy

A Dayton Audio ND90-8 full range driver hooked up to the internal wires from the speaker terminals, ready to be screwed into the speaker box. The hole in the speaker is visible in the background.A pair of single driver pico neo speakers, all done. The baffels are covered in walnut veneer, the Dayton Audio drivers are all black aluminium and the rest of the boxes are covered in grey vinyl wrap. The speakers are standing on a wooden countertop.

Finishing up my pico neo single driver speakers, 4 litre bass reflex boxes that're supposed to squeeze a decent amount of bass out of a small driver. I'm obsessing over finishes at this point. The veneer on the baffels is fine I guess, though one of the sheets cracked as I was working on it and gave me some grief. Tried out some grey acrylic spray paint after I had primed them, but I wasn't satisfied with neither the adhesion or the look. Went with vinyl wrapping instead, and I'm not feeling it. One of them got a scuff mark in the back and this vinyl turned out to be a fingerprint magnet. Sigh. Guess I'll just finish them as they are now, put the drivers in and see if the sound good, and do a refinish later. #diyaudio #speakers #speakersbox #audiogear

A pair of speaker boxes on a grey wooden floor. The boxes are grey, wrapped in vinyl, with walnut veneer fronts. The drivers are still missing, I haven't put them in yet.A grey speaker box on a workbench, the walnut veneer baffle on it is in the process of being treated with shellac. The shellac box is visible to the left, with a paintbrush on top. I'm part of the shellac everything movement, as they call it in the woodworking hobby. What's not to love with bug gunk?MDF speakerboxes outside in the sun. On of them is coated with grey primer, the other one is still unpainted.
