This was so much work! 😂 (To any proper editors this it probably 10 minutes max though)
So, I had this door and I didn't know what to do with it. I took it this summer at the Roman Amphitheatre in Bologna (this is part of the building surrounding it so technically it also fits #fotovorschlag and also #doorsday)
Anyway, point is, I was inspired by "The Hands Resist Him" which is one of my favourite paintings but I wanted the hands to come out of the door.

Hung some lights on the de-middle-d blue spruce. This involved installing an outdoor socket, which involved ripping out the old prehistoric phone line that used to be here (not active anymore) and shoving a power cable through the hole instead, which of course never goes as simple as just shoving it through, does it.

While I don't give a wet fart about the whole xmas rigmarole, the ancient tradition of having some light in the darkest time of the year is perfectly sensible.

I think of the people living here before electricification with their candles and oil lamps, some of which I rediscovered in various places on the farm (two of them still work). They would've been so happy with a 3.6W LED string in times where the sun hardly shows up for work.
