[15:14] Dominee Mykola uit Irpin: 'Vergeving? Dat is voor na de oorlog, maar je kan niet blijven leven met haat'

Dominee in Oorlogstijd.

The Christmas Story Neighbor’s
-December 29, 2021
.
When I shot these last year, I was talking to a neighbor on 11th., whom was having a beer in his lawn chair and was telling me that this time of year has become a nightmare for him.
He said that it’s not only the traffic but *this weird parade of Christmas zombies that files through every year*.

Not gonna lie. 2021 was tough. Not as bad as 2022, but it wasn’t any easier. However, I did accomplish a few of my goals which was get my second published work out. If you haven’t checked it out yet, How A Donut Destroyed Earth will be the Christmas gift you never knew you needed.

Anywho, let’s look at 2021.

2021 in review.

2021 was a year of personal reflection. I had no choice but to shelve The Daughter of Dragons, which in return, allowed time for work on my short story collection, How A Donut Destroyed Earth. I put my heart and soul into this one specifically cause I wanted to make up for an extremely empty 2020.

How can you blame me? Covid-19 was ravaging the nation and rather than focus on my craft, I lost my job and contemplated everything. “Am I getting out of this? Will I return to work? What about paying editors and cover artists? Do ANY of these projects matter? Does ANYTHING matter?”

And I’m sure I wasn’t alone in this. Other authors and artists were fine, but me, fresh into publishing?

2021 was a breath of fresh air. Not only had I returned to work, but I also completed a short story collection that I actually felt confident in, that I could actually say “Wait, I wrote this? I did. Awesome!” I hope you all give it a read because it does an amazing job of showcasing what I have to offer. In fact, I have plans for a number of fresh works forthcoming.

2022 and beyond

I’m comfortable announcing a few future projects that I’ll be working on between 2022 and 2023. Of course we have Legends of Eifalia, which I hope to debut soon, and Moonlight Blade, whose first two episodes will be set before Spring 2022.

As for my other projects, I can talk about a few ideas.

First is Project Gerbil. Yep, we’re bringing the adorable rodents back. Except this time, it won’t be so cuddly. We’re talking mutant space gerbils bent on taking over Earth. It’ll be up to a ragtag bunch of elementary school kids to defend their neighborhood and deal with their furry invaders.

This will likely release around the summertime. I’m gonna work on an outline for all of my series for the remainder of the year to get a head start on finishing my stories once and for all.

Second is Project Extra. Sounds a bit random, doesn’t it? What does extra mean? Extra awesome? Extracurricular? Is this a school story? Is there homework involved?

Well, no homework, thankfully, but I’ll give you a clue: It’s a superhero story.

So far, I have the main lead’s name, Alex Chu, and his dog who both obtain far-reaching powers if you get my drift. It will involve space as well, but not in the invasion kind.

And finally, just so it’s not all sci-fi all the time, we have Project Kitsune.

If you recall, I published a short story titled “Do Not Stare Into The Eyes of a Kitsune.” It was a fair effort to test the waters with both Kindle and various markets. A story about a Japanese hunter encountering American sailors, and a valuable lesson on honor and respect for the wildlife. So why am I talking about this? Because I want to expand and flesh out the story of Shiro Kawamoto and go into a full-fledged Trilogy.

Who knows? Considering how the short story went down, maybe Shiro gets Isekai’d into this world to start anew. But you’ll have to wait and see.

Anywho, that’s my overall plan for 2022 and beyond. Lots of stuff and not a lot revealed. Hope you’re looking forward to my new works. Be on the lookout for pre-orders sometime next year for Project Gerbil, Project Extra, and Legends of Eifalia.

That’s all for today. If you like what I do, consider supporting me on Patreon and Ko-Fi. I plan to start that up again with more perks in the future.

That’s all for today. Take care, and remember, the inn is always open.
