Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Well, things are certainly progressing. After a long day, I figured I’d write a dispatch to unwind and process today’s news. I’m sitting down with a tall glass of ice water after cleaning in the kitchen. The soft LED lamp spreads an amber glow on the arms of the leather couch. It’s after 10:00 PM, and the kids are finally asleep for the night. The hum of the dishwasher keeps me company as I type. I hope this dispatch will explain some of my annoyance when they came downstairs after bedtime.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination was a gruesome act of political violence. His brand of “civil discourse” routinely advocated systemic violence against others, and he has been consumed by the flames he stoked.
