We had an awesome day trip to Toronto to visit our daughters, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Lunch was egg salad or pulled chicken sandwiches on homemade focaccia bread baked this morning by our oldest daughter. Then we went for a walk in High Park so Harley could experience a great off leash area. Weather was perfect for walking the park trails, 19°C with partly sunny skies.

Harley and I had our first hike of the year without a coat. For me, at least. Beautiful sunny day, 20°C, and almost no wind. On our 3km walk, we spooked a couple of deer, a doe and fawn. They were already running when we spotted them, and brave Miss Harley quickly ran and hid behind me because of the commotion.

Wife and I, and faithful companion Harley, are out for a hike around Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville. We are 3km into our walk, about halfway on our planned route. Beautiful sunny day with temperature at 10°C and a light wind.

With Rosie we used pad things and it just taught her that rectangles were OK to pee on. Hard to tell her off for going on the mat when you taught her to. Harley dragged me outside for a walk on a very un-Spring like day. Cloudy and only 1.5°C but feeling colder with the wind. I curse all prognosticating rodents and their predictions for a late ending of winter.
