I see the frantic talk about EEI as a form of cherry picking – altho not from deniers in this case but from fewer than a handful of experts (in other fields).

If the #EEI (Earth Energy Imbalance) continues to climb at a rate of 0.6 W/m^2 per decade, then it looks like, from a starting point of 1.5 W/m^2 and 21.1°C, the average temperature globally of the top 50 meters of the #ocean will heat up as follows:
2062 - 37°C (human body temp)
2082 - 50°C (122°F)
2100 - 65°C (149°F)
Is this for real? It would mean we have less than 40 years.

Earth's climate is out of energy balance, and this study quantifies how much heat has consequently accumulated over the past decades (ocean: 89 %, land: 6 %, cryosphere: 4 %, atmosphere: 1 %). Since 1971, this accumulated heat reached record values at an increasing pace.

We managed to find a dead specimen in good condition of the invasive crab Percnon gibbesi in the ZEC Acantilados y fondos marinos Punta de la Mona in Almuñecar, Granada,Spain... details are coming.
In dives this summer we have found it at home in two observations, in shallow rocky bottoms, the species is already a constant presence and it is presumed that its expansion continues along the coast of Granada.
We have been recording it every year since the first sighting in 2017.
