Ça y est, j'imprime à nouveau. Fini donc #HP; je suis sur du Nipon #Epson et ça fonctionne très bien sur #Arch et #Manjaro. Il suffit de retourner la bouteille sur la cartouche et voilà. Je me demande si en mettant de l'eau colorée ça fonctionne rait. Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà essayé ? #TipsAndTrics

Diese Woche habe ich eine frustrierende Technikkategorie aus unserem Haushalt verbannt: #drucker Das ist einfach ein verlorenes Feld. Zuletzt ein fortgeschrittenes #EPSON Tinten-Modell mit 2 Papiereinzügen und Vorlageneinzug, aber mochte Dritthersteller-Farbe nicht. Nach Covid19 war der Bedarf massiv gefallen und für gelegentlichen Druckbedarf müssen dann halt die ordentlichen Geräte im #Büro einspringen. Das Gerät ging zur Nachnutzung zu Freunden. Fühlt sich gut an.

Mon imprimante Epson n'a pas d'écran pour lui dire à quel wifi parler afin de pouvoir imprimer par les airs. Bien que non documenté par le constructeur, c'est possible de faire ce paramétrage du réseau wifi sans installer d'application.

I own an #Epson printer+scanner and since it does not support SMB/FTP, I used the Epson Connect service to send the scan by mail, which worked okay-ish.

Now I wanted to change the recipient mail and - suprise - the cloud service has changed a while ago. Login doesn't work, new register doesn't work.

Specifications for the Epson LX-80 dot matrix printer from its manual. In 1984 these were fairly typical for 9 pin printers, though things like Near Letter Quality mode were less common (a mode that increased the effective resolution of each character: normal mode characters had to fit in a 8x9 grid, while NLQ characters had a denser 12x18 grid for the same size - this allowed 9 pin printers to stay relevant a bit longer though at the cost of printing speed).
