First podcast episode I've listened to in months: the @fossandcrafts "Get Organized" episode! #FossAndCrafts
https://fossandcrafts.org/episodes/24-get-organized.html
As someone who also has #ADHD && a fondness for the #HipsterPDA, it was really inspiring to hear how these folks support each other && keep refining a system that prioritizes incentives over shame!

A preliminary list—does anyone know of any others? Please let me know!

@cwebber @spritelyinst I just printed out the 28 pages and hope to read them all over the next day or so. During your #FossAndCrafts talk people in the chat mentioned that the curly brace {} infix notation didn't work in Racket. Racketeers have a double dot notation that confused me for a long time while trying to read their contracts.
{ 1 + 2 } becomes ( 1 . + . 2 ); just in case someone wants to get distracted by that Racket detail (Racktail?) while learning from your tutorial!
I think we need a #MinimalistProgram for everything. I've been wondering what the equivalent of #CKOgden's #BasicEnglish might be for #Racket or #Scheme. The #FossAndCrafts Scheme tutorial mentioned #LambdaTheUltimate and reminded me of #DougHoyte's #LetOverLambda book where he quote #GuySteele on primitives. I have Laozi in mind and want to think of #LambdaTheBase or #BasicLambda... With just lambda and an approach like #TheSchemersGuide learning could be in a very minimalist situation.
@acousticmirror @fossandcrafts @cwebber I hope you find a copy and let me know what you think of it. During the #FossAndCrafts episode I saw your comment about elephants and wanted say how all the snack mentions distract me in the "little" books. But I had to put my full attention on the presentation in order try and keep up. This guide might be a fun alternative or supplement for #HTDP. Both books are great, but after working with English Through Pictures for a decade they all seem too wordy.
Speaking of @jao, a topic that came up last night at @fossandcrafts's Scheme Workshop was Gerald Sussman's comments on why MIT stopped teaching #SICP as an introductory course in 2009. Here's a longer blog post by @jao from #ILC09, where Sussman made these comments, with input from no other than Dan Weinreb (rest in power), and links to other articles on the subject (like Andy Wingo's report from the event).
