FairMail, the email app I use on my Android, makes it hard to check the true originating addresses of emails, and the URLs that included links are pointing to. At least using default settings. The problem is, if we can't see these things at a glance, we're much more likely to fall for phishing scams.
I don't mean to pick on FairMail, this is pretty standard email UX these days. Which is probably at least one reason why email is such a common vectors for scams.
