"In coordinated raids in the past 24 hours, the DB arrested 44 people in Dhaka, including financing operatives and foot soldiers linked to the banned organisation.

One of those arrested was Haji M. Ayub Khan (60), general secretary of the Awami League in Basail Union, Sirajdikhan Upazila, Munshiganj. According to investigators, he was responsible for funding, organising flash processions, and supplying manpower for criminal activity.

DB Chief Md. Shafiqul Islam said that the group is organising through mobile apps, especially Telegram.

He explained that they issue instructions via the app – such as where to assemble – then arrive in just two or three minutes, carry out their march, and quickly share video footage."
