Dealing with trauma

I will be honest, finally, to myself... I am not doing OK. Many of you who have been following my posts here may have known for a long time, I guess. And, to be fair, I knew it too. I have written about the emotions, grief, guilt, pain, nightmares, struggles with my recovery, exercises, and weight... And I have tried to find solutions. I dove into all the into I could find about autistic burnout, so that I could find a wat to deal with it and so, hopefully, recover. And I feel like the burnout bit did recover for a part. But, the symptoms that remained, those became stronger and more controlling, instead of also slowly becoming less. They became more overwhelming, more powerful, and way harder to deal with. My sleep started getting less good, I had more flashbacks and nightmares, I felt like I was unworthy, I didn't feel like it (life, I mean) had any use at all... Some of my muscles have forgotten how to relax, causing me much discomfort. But whatever my PT and I try... They remain hard and tight, as the nervous system keeps the muscle contracted as a guarding reflex. So yeah, I am definitely not doing fine, whatever I may say or try to act as... And now, it is time to learn more, and then, be brave enough to ask for help. […]

As many of you who have followed this blog site for a while will know, my bestest soulmate unfortunately passed away on July 4th 2025. It's been a little over 4 months now, and I still miss her like crazy. I always knew that she was special, that she gave me so much more than I could ever try to give back to her. But, I tried with all my power, abilities, money, and love... But, as time without her passes by, I realize more and more that she did so much more than I thought! So many things where I feel I may have taken things for granted, just because her intuition was just right and she knew my needs even better than I did. And, of course, I tried my best to provide to all her needs and wants as well. I may have spoiled her a bit, but now I wonder if it was enough... It's been a few days since it was the 4th. As I am a night owl, I am often awake during the night, enjoying the calm and darkness. But the night of July 3 going on 4, plagued by pain and trauma, I was awake with Arwen, and I saw her struggles and uneasiness. It hurt me to see her like that, and I knew I had to call the vet ASAP in the morning. I wrote a blog that night (Will this be it?), fearing that I was going to lose her. And, unfortunately, I was right, and she passed away with my mum and me at her side around 9:30 that Friday morning. 😢 […]

Na produção francesa Falco, que o A&E estreia na segunda-feira, 6 de outubro, às 22h45, o detetive Alexandre Falco (Sagamore Stévenin, Escalada, Fúria Sobre Rodas) acorda de um coma de 22 anos, e tem de encarar algumas duras realidades. A vida que ele deixou para trás não existe mais: sua filha, Pauline (Marie Béraud, Camille Outra Vez), agora é adulta, e sua esposa, Carole (Mathilde Lebrequier, Vaurien), está namorando o patologista forense Philippe Chéron (Franck Monsigny, Coco Antes de Chanel).

No entanto, nada pode impedir Falco de se juntar novamente à unidade policial — nem o ceticismo de seu antigo parceiro, agora comissário Jean-Paul Ménard (Arno Chevrier, A Liberdade é Azul), nem seu novo parceiro, o tenente Chevalier (Clément Manuel, Submundo do Crime).

O jovem policial Alexandre Falco, de 22 anos, tem tudo para ser feliz. Uma mulher que ele ama, uma linda filhinha, um trabalho pelo qual ele é apaixonado. Mas, em apenas um dia, tudo muda. Durante uma incursão que dá errado, Falco leva um tiro na cabeça. E entra em coma.

Um novo começo

Lionel Garnier, um motorista de táxi, é encontrado morto em um canteiro de flores. Os investigadores descobrem que esse homem comum levava uma vida dupla: duas mulheres que alegavam desconhecer completamente a existência uma da outra. Um novo acontecimento na investigação abala as opiniões da polícia: no ano passado, Lionel Garnier roubou milhares de euros na região de Paris, sem nunca ser pego. Ao mesmo tempo, desde que acordou, Alex teve que lidar com os primeiros retornos à realidade. Ele quer encontrar sua esposa, Carole, mas descobre que ela está em um relacionamento com Philippe Chéron, um forense do departamento de polícia. Ela diz que ele precisa virar a página. Arrasado, ele decide resgatar Carole e lutar contra o legista, apesar da oferta de paz de Philippe.

A psiquiatra Dorothée Dalmasso foi morta em Port de l’Arsenal. Ela teve tempo de deixar uma inscrição misteriosa na parede: LEA. Investigadores descobrem que a morte de Dorothée está ligada ao suicídio de uma de suas pacientes, Léa Joubert. Alex e Romain remontam a história a um estranho encontro entre a psiquiatra e uma mulher misteriosa na estação de Lille. Uma mulher que não é outra senão… Léa Joubert, cujo corpo foi identificado seis dias antes. Pauline retorna da Índia. O reencontro é complicado, Alex não sabe como se posicionar, principalmente em relação a Chéron. E o primeiro encontro não corre bem: Pauline encontra o pai no meio de uma briga entre Alex e Philippe. Alex, que não sabe como fazer as pazes, questiona tudo.

Encontros com assassinos

Os investigadores estão nervosos. Três mulheres foram envenenadas em questão de horas, e o medo de um serial killer aumenta. Outra dificuldade: o método operacional.

Having #CPTSD #Flashbacks because they gave me a red arm band. Red arm bands at #AgapeBoardingSchool in the #TroubledTeenIndustry meant you were on "no talking" status meaning you couldn't conversate with others, play board games or even sports. So memories and images are flooding my mind.
