Finished my binge of #ForAllMankind last night. S01 is definitely the strongest with a lame end premise, with S02 being great once it got past said premise... S03 started off strong, but got very weak with boring human choices driving the plot. Despite departing from reality further than the original premise and venturing much harder into sci-fi S04 was an improvement over S03
Overall, I recommend the first 2 seasons at minimum for the play on alternative history.

#Murderbot is rather good. There are very few shows that I rewatch over and over again. I rewatch most* of the #StarTrek various series, #Babylon5, #BattlestarGalactica, #TheOrville, I'm forgetting something, but I think I am going to buy the first season of Murderbot once is done as a rewatchable series. It is really great. There are other series I liked just as well, but did not feel the need to rewatch over and over. #Foundation is great, but not rewatchable. #ForAllMankind, also great, but not rewatchable. #TigNotaro's #OneMississippi was also rather well done, but not rewatchable, but that is understandable, given the content.

Started #ForAllMankind I made the mistake of expecting another Battlestar Galactica. But even I couldn't have imagined how... boring it seems.
I don't like to be cruel, but my heart sinks when Edwin Baldwin pops onto the screen, going back to House of Cards. He's such an energy suck, all he does is be tall, glower, and unemote.
Fortunately for him he's a gorgeous, towering titan of a man, and I'm sure birds and thunder follow his every step in real life.
But don't build a show around him.
When I saw Werner von Braun my first thought was "are they going to use the #TomLehrer song" and then they did #ForAllMankind #tv #appletv

I had a friend recommend I watch "For All Mankind"... Wow it's been good. Season 1 just captivated me. Feel like that little boy dream in me of becoming an astronaut is getting tickled.
Really hoping it continues this quality of writing! Particularly enjoy the seemingly continued global excitement in science and advancing humankind into the cosmos. How different would our world be today had the space race continued with such vervor.
Just realised that the track used in the first "Margo waking up" scene in season 1 is from 1996 not 1969, & this had to have been a choice - cos basically everything in season 1 foreshadows things that happen later & it's the only track that's out of era even if the style fits
