Eight dragons locked his love away,
To make the world into their own
He knew that he must save the day,
Return the princess to her throne.
He could not stop, he could not rest,
To see the end, complete his quest.
To make the world into their own
They crushed the triforce into bits.
And brought them back into their homes
To hide within their labyrinths.
Each piece combined and nothing more,
Would open up her prison door.
He knew that he must save the day
His sword and shield would serve him well.
He traveled on, he knew the way,
To find where evil dragons dwelled.
His sweetheart could not wait for long.
He’d be there soon, he must be strong.
Return the princess to her throne.
The words repeated in his mind.
He battled onward with a groan,
Exhausted by the weary grind.
He slaughtered Stalfos, Goblins, Ghosts,
To save the one he loved the most.
He could not stop, he could not rest,
Despite their wings and gaping maws.
He battled on until he wrest,
Each Triforce from their greedy claws.
With seven dragons lying dead,
One final battle lay ahead.
To see the end, complete his quest.
He rushed forth with his tomahawk,
And struck the dragon in its chest,
Who died upon the chopping block.
He raced to hold her in his arms.
Safe and sound, from any harm.
