Krótki czas pracy na baterii to zmora każdego użytkownika smartfona. Często winę za ten stan rzeczy ponoszą źle zoptymalizowane aplikacje działające w tle.
Google wreszcie bierze się za ten problem – Sklep Play zaczął właśnie wyświetlać ostrzeżenia przed pobraniem programów, które nadmiernie drenują akumulator.
Od 1 marca 2026 roku Google rozpoczęło wdrażanie nowej funkcji w swoim sklepie z aplikacjami. Zmiana jest bezpośrednio wymierzona w programy, które wykazują tzw. wysoką aktywność w tle i nadmiernie wybudzają urządzenie (przekraczając techniczny próg „Excessive Partial Wake Lock”).
Jak działa nowe ostrzeżenie?
Jeśli system wykryje, że dany program jest słabo zoptymalizowany i stanowi zagrożenie dla czasu pracy smartfona, na jego karcie w Sklepie Play (jeszcze przed kliknięciem przycisku „Pobierz”) pojawi się wyraźny komunikat:
„Ta aplikacja może zużywać więcej baterii niż oczekiwano z powodu wysokiej aktywności w tle” (to nasze tłumaczenie; oryginał widzicie na powyższym zrzucie ekranu).
To jednak nie koniec. Google postanowiło nie tylko ostrzegać użytkowników, ale również karać niechlujnych deweloperów. Aplikacje, które notorycznie drenują baterię, stracą na widoczności. Sklep Play po prostu przestanie je promować – znikną one z zakładek z rekomendacjami i list polecanych programów, co bezpośrednio przełoży się na drastyczny spadek liczby pobrań. Jednocześnie Google udostępniło twórcom nowe metryki, które mają im pomóc w diagnozowaniu i łataniu prądożernych błędów w kodzie.
Sensowne wyjątki od reguły
Zanim wpadniemy w panikę widząc ostrzeżenia, warto wiedzieć, że algorytmy Google nie wrzucają wszystkich do jednego worka. Firma przewidziała system zwolnień dla aplikacji, których ciągła praca w tle oferuje „wyraźne korzyści dla użytkownika”.
Surowe zasady i ostrzeżenia nie będą nakładane między innymi na:
- Odtwarzacze muzyki i aplikacje streamingowe (np. Spotify).
- Nawigacje i programy opierające się na ciągłym śledzeniu lokalizacji GPS.
- Aplikacje realizujące duże transfery danych inicjowane przez użytkownika.
- Monitory aktywności fizycznej.
Dzięki temu system uderzy wyłącznie w te programy, które wysysają energię bez żadnego uzasadnienia.
