I missed the 75k user mark, #Catima is already at 82k users on #GooglePlay. Pretty cool! :)

This past weekend, I upgraded at #SaskTel from a #Samsung #s10e to a #Google #Pixel9. Here are the #Fdroid apps I have installed so far:
#Joplin
#HeliBoard
#Unciv
#Syncthing-Fork
#AVNC
#AvesLibre
#Catima
#Thunderbird
#Jellyfin
#NewPipe
#KDEconnect
#Mastodon
#OsmAnd+
#KOreader
#Droid-ify
#Finamp
#AudioRecorder
#Lawnchair
#MaterialFiles
#Eternity
These are a great selection of apps.
#Catima 2.35.1 is out! This is a very boring release, just containing some dependency and translation updates. It also adds 1 new community-contributed language: Persian.
If your favourite language is not (completely) supported, consider contributing on https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/catima/ (no AI or "Google Translate" translations please, nobody is helped by low-quality translations filled with errors).

@johanneskastl @darix I use #PassAndroid mostly for flight Tickets and other event tickets. Works very well... I use #Catima as well, but only for membership cards, like climbing/bouldering gyms.
Hi Silvie, 👋
to be honest, I don't really use Catima very active as I only have only a few loyalty cards.
But I don't want miss it!
Thanks to your tireless development, your introduction of .pkpass for example and the fact that you keep the minimum requirements low, I can use Catima on my "normal" mobile for the "DeutschlandTicket" and also on my little "old bone" with Android 6.0, when I'm out for an outdoor trip and my "normal" cell phone is too bulky for that usecase.
Thanks for your great work! 👍
#Catima 2.35.0 is out!
This release lets you further tweak the barcode size in the fullscreen view and slightly improves barcode finding reliability when scanning or loading a barcode from an image or PDF file. It also fixes a crash when trying to load a pkpass file without a barcode in it.

Locked out of #Stocard? Considering switching to an app like #Catima? You may be able to still access your Stocard cards directly!
According to Italian video creator "IT Problem Solver", it seems Stocard's expiry is based on device time. So: change your phone's date, screenshot those barcodes, and add them to Catima! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrsEiMjoQTM
Alternatively, if you have the patience and live in Europe, email support@stocardapp.com to ask for an export of your data and import it directly!

Finally migrated all loyalty/customer cards to #catima.
The main "blocker" was my desire to have nice looking logos in the overview. After I did that, I could easily export, backup and share it. Totally worth the effort.
Next up: dive into the improved feature-set, like grouping and sorting.
Are ther any #persian speakers on Mastodon who can help tell me if https://github.com/CatimaLoyalty/Android/pull/2434/files looks correct at all?
I have no experience with the language, barely know what it's supposed to look like, so I can't tell 😅
Thanks in advance for anyone willing to take a minute to look!

#Catima 2.34.5 is out!
This is a maintenance release that targets Android 15 and fixes a crash.
The app will look slightly uglier on some devices, due to Google's changes in how drawing over the system and navigation bar works. Sadly, supporting proper edge-to-edge requires extensive rewrites (help very welcome!), so I opted to at least ensure we target Android 15 before any deadlines.

Catima 💳
I had to swipe my #phone a few months back, and I lost the #Fdroid loyalty wallet I was using. So, fresh install I thought, ok I'll give #GoogleWallet a try. That thing is slow. I could not find the old wallet I was using but, I did find #Catima, and it is working pretty well. Lightning quick and easy to use. If you are looking for something to keep your loyalty and gift cards in order, check out Catima.
@SylvieLorxu will #catima support to update Transit Pass one day?
I imported my Hamburg (HVV) Transit pass via .pkpass File.
So now after one month it expires and I have to get a new pkpass file (& esPass -> https://espass.it/ maybe as well) to have an up to date and valid pass again.
In PassAndroid ( https://github.com/ligi/PassAndroid ) for example there is a refresh button and I can do this refresh within the app. So the pass can update itself.
#catima 2.34.4 is out!
This reverts Catima to targetSdk 34 (Android 14) for now, to fix the UI regressions introduced in Catima 2.34.3.
It also includes the fixes in 2.34.3 and a new little feature to sort your cards by the "valid from" date, useful for things like train tickets.

I've decided to yank #Catima 2.34.3 due to issues with Android 15 edge-to-edge support.
Specifically, when using button navigation on Android 15 landscape parts of the app are inaccessible.
The GitHub release has been reverted to a "pre-release", IzzyOnDroid has removed the release on my request, F-Droid has been notified (but they will likely still publish the new update for 3-5 days anyway due to their inability to remove apps out-of-build-cycle) and the Google Play rollout has been stopped.
