Still on stock Android on the Pixel for now. Does anyone have any insight on #GoogleAdvancedProtection program. I have it enabled just as an extra layer of security but I feel like that are so many good apps that are not in the Play Store. Maybe it's just FOMO or boredom. I think even with GAPP turned off I should still get a message about installing apps from unknown sources and Google Play protections still scan apps. Usługa Google Play Protect od dłuższego czasu automatycznie skanuje wszystkie aplikacje jakie możesz zainstalować z Google Play. Teraz dodano jeszcze jeden poziom ochrony.

Jedną z nowości oficjalnie ogłoszonych na blogu Google dotyczącym bezpieczeństwa jest wyposażenie usługi Google Play Protect w mechanizm automatycznego cofania uprawnień dla potencjalnie niebezpiecznych aplikacji. Część tego rozwiązania w postaci mechanizmu cofającego uprawnienia działała już wcześniej, ale tylko dla tych aplikacji, z których użytkownik na swoim smartfonie nie korzystał przez długi czas.

Teraz Google uruchomił pilotażowy program rozszerzonej ochrony przed oszustwami. Google Play Protect będzie automatycznie analizować, a także automatycznie blokować instalację aplikacji, które mogą używać poufnych uprawnień, często nadużywanych w różnego typu oszustwach finansowych.

Ponadto użytkownicy smartfonów z Androidem, którzy wyłączą Google Play Protect będą automatycznie otrzymywać monity zarówno w systemie Android, jak i w mobilnej przeglądarce Chrome, zachęcające do ponownej aktywacji tej funkcji.
