Sloth Racket are ten years old.

We were brought together by @cathrobots in 2015 to perform a brand new set of material in Newcastle for Jazz North East at the Gateshead International Jazz Festival. Needless to say, we had a marvellous time and have continued to play together ever since.

Just revisiting this #SlothRacket release from a few years back. Pretty pleased with the sound we got from the #Live #Recording, using just the Zoom H5 plus a CAD Audio m179 on the double bass and an e906 on the guitar amp. Largely thanks to the great sounding room, and the ever-excellent ears of Alex Bonney in mixing and mastering. And of course @cathrobots' brilliant compositions.

On the second day of class, we spent the morning looking at and talking about graphic notation and #GraphicScores. (We also did a bunch of exercises to think about #pattern, #form, #repetition, and practiced #DeepListening.)
